Produced from 1994 – 2003, the Vauxhall Omega was an executive car available as a sedan or estate, its design was intended to compete with other traditional luxury cars, including Ford Granada / Scorpio and Rover 800.
The Omega had a good reputation; spacious, comfortable, well equipped and built for solid performance. Unfortunately, This & other similar models have been discontinued due to buyers potential being attracted by the "best" image of competing brands as the Audi A6 or BMW 5 Series.
HISTORY
Vauxhall has offered major exhibitions since the 1950s in order to compete with those produced by the most prestigious brands (then), like Ford. The best known is the Vauxhall Cresta sedan (also available as Velox, which was less highly specified).
These cars have been produced in 1957, with the DB model to be released in 1962. It was followed in 1965 by the PC model. They were interrupted in 1972 when the Ventora and Victor FE have been highlighted. These cars were produced until 1978, after which they were replaced by the Royal and the 1st generation Carlton. This version of the Hotel Carlton has been done until 1986, when the 2nd edition Carlton went on sale. It was then replaced by Omega in 1993.
